Welcome! I am so proud to be part of 1-866-NEW-LUNG and provide free health services in Orange County. I received my Bachelors of Science in Anthropology from University of California, Los Angeles and Masters of Public Health, specializing in Community Health Education, from California State University, Long Beach. My previous research focused on theoretical frameworks and social determinants of tobacco use for the Cambodian American population in Long Beach. I also co-authored an article in the Prager Handbook for Environmental Health entitled, “Global Diffusion of Smoke-Free Bars Laws that Prevent Exposure to Secondhand Tobacco Smoke.” I believe everyone deserves quality access to healthcare and am committed to eliminating health disparities and integrating cultural competence in health services. I enjoy traveling, art museums, music, audiobooks, photography and coffee. In my free time, I am a sports correspondent for Eagle Broadcasting Corporation, primarily reporting on the NBA. You can breathe easy knowing that I will be your strongest advocate for maintaining a smoke-free lifestyle.

Hello! I am the Tobacco Cessation Lead for 1-866-NEW-LUNG and I am so proud to be part of a program that continues to make a big difference in people’s lives. I work closely with schools and communities in Orange County to promote cessation services. I offer assistance to anyone ready to start the quit process. I understand the decision to want to quit can be difficult, but I am here to help! I found my passion for helping others when I worked as a leader when developing community programs dedicated to families and underprivileged youth. I received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach. I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I am excited to be part of your journey and look forward to meeting you!

¡Hola! Estoy muy emocionada de que haya decidido empesar este viaje de cesación con nosotros. Soy una de las especialistas que ayuda a la gente que quiere dejar de fumar. Mi pasión por ayudar a otros viene de mi cultura. Crecí en una familia que creía que era esencial mostrar bondad y apoyo a otros. Creo que todos deberían tener herramientas disponibles para tomar las decisiones más informadas para una vida feliz y saludable. Yo me gradué de la Universidad de California en Long Beach con una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Educación Comunitaria para la Salud. Ayudo a brindar servicios y apoyo a personas en el Condado de Orange que desean dejar de fumar. ¡Juntos podemos desarrollar estrategias y técnicas para ayudarlo(a) a superar el proceso para dejar de fumar! Hello! I am very excited you have decided to go on this cessation journey with us! I am the Spanish Tobacco Cessation Specialist. My passion to help others stems from my cultural upbringing. I grew up in a family who believes it is essential to display kindness and support one another. I believe everyone should have the tools available to make the most informed decisions for a happy and healthier life. I graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Long beach with a Bachelors of Science in Community Health Education. I help provide services and support to individuals in Orange County who want to quit smoking. Together we can develop strategies and coping techniques to get you through the quit process! Hello! I am the Farsi speaking Tobacco Cessation Specialist. I work with Iranian community in Orange County to help them quit smoking. I graduated from University of California, Irvine in Public Health and Disease Prevention and I believe prevention is much easier and less expensive than treatment. I teach my participants how to quit smoking and help them to take control of their lives. My main focus is changing your lifestyle to a healthy level, without pressure, through awareness and information. I firmly believe that if we are aware of a challenge, we are more prepared to face it. I will be a small help through your journey.
